DESCRIPTION:

For one of our prestigious global client, we are aggressively searching for a SDET - Sr Software Development Engineer in Test to be based in San Diego, CA.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Ideal candidate will have the following skill set to contribute as a Senior Software Engineer in a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role in the Test Automation group.
• Responsible for developing core services and analytics applications to help drive process improvements and accountability
• Uses Agile best practices to develop high quality software solutions that integrate data from different data sources

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Passion to test software applications and systems using Test Automation and software tools.
• Recommends technical strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness and quality of products to meet business needs.
• Able to research and analyze tools and test automation frameworks to provide a thoughtful recommendation for use.
• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented software design and principles, applies them on a regular basis to promote code reusability and scalability.
• Strong knowledge of Software development and testing strategies of Web Applications, Web Services, with in depth grasp of related technologies.
• Ability to create and maintain shared code libraries, tools and frameworks to increase team productivity and works with both Developers and Testers to make applications more testable, scalable.
• Incorporates coding best practices and regularly conducts/participates in Code Reviews.
• Strong coding and debugging skills in C#, Selenium, Python and related Test Automation frameworks.
• Ability and experience in Designing new and Enhancing existing Test Automation frameworks and code.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Technical Stack (Visual Studio, Azure, DevOps, C#, SQL Server, .NET, Nuget, IIS) and test frameworks.
• Ability to understand end user/product usage scenarios in designing and conducting Automation testing or development.
• Develop Test Automation code for functional, integration and E2E testing to validate business, system and operational requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience and knowledge with testing applications involving Machine Learning and related areas is a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in computer science or an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of recent software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C#, Python preferred)
• Understands databases (SQL Server is preferred) and is able to develop intermediate – complex level queries.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, automation testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Agile Environment experience using user stories, providing test estimates etc.
